Ellesmere Port Catholic High School have won the Educate Awards WOW Recognition Award for the Life on Mars Project with the charity 4WardFutures.

During the first lockdown, 14 weeks in, EPCHS started to work with 4WardFutures to implement an on-line project for Year 7 and Year 8 students. VALOM and CALOM saw students engage in inspirational webinars with leading experts from the field of space travel, technology and creative arts.

Students then developed, through collaboration and individually, work which surpassed all expectations. From built simulations, short movies, original poems, paintings and sound tracks their work was highly acclaimed by the guests they had spoken to them the week earlier.

This was truly a WOW moment for the students at EPCHS. Congratulation to the whole team involved in putting this project together, we are incredibly proud of you all!
