Careers at EPCHS
Careers Lead – Mrs Murphy
Careers Advisor – Graham Peace
Our students are learning crucial skills through the curriculum. Now through our careers program, they will be encouraged to understand the importance of these skills to future employment and their career path.
A study published in the Journal of Education and Work suggests that better-informed teenagers are likely to make more advantageous career choices. Students who have had careers talks and lessons, including outside speakers, have been seen to indicate a long-lasting employment impact.
Our careers program will see a range of new and tried and tested activities, including subject specific speakers, visits to industry, college days, enterprise activities and work experience. The aim of our careers program is to ensure EVERY one of our students has access to careers advice and professionals in the fields that they are interested in, presenting them with opportunities to develop their goals and aspirations.
The careers team at EPCHS is ready to develop new ideas and activities, improve the employment skills of our students and open up the opportunities so that ALL students have a world of possibilities.
